Current Position: Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Texas at Arlington. I will be visiting Stanford as a research fellow in Fall, 2025.
My experience at CSU was nothing short of transformative—academically, professionally, and personally.
Coming from India, CSU was transformative in shaping my professional growth, not just through academics but also through its environment, human and physical capital.
The library fostered deep learning, the gym and fields kept me grounded, and the town’s bars, trails, and hikes offered both warmth and adventure. The balance of quiet study spaces and a vibrant social life, the contrast of cold winters and warm friendships, and the open, accepting community—along with great beer—made my years in Fort Collins truly unforgettable. CSU gave me more than just an education; it gave me a home, a community, and a lifetime of cherished memories. I carry its influence with me every day, in my teaching, research, and the way I engage with the world.
CSU Econ helped me succeed in the job market by first providing a robust coursework, followed by a wide range of scholarship and the freedom to shape my research focus. Critical yet constructive colleagues, rigorous mock job market interviews, and unrelenting support from my advisors—Ramaa, whose intellect shaped my thinking; Anita, whose depth of knowledge was unmatched; Ray, whose friendship and guidance were invaluable; Niroj, whose camaraderie made the journey rewarding; and Daniele, whose support, friendship, and brotherhood enriched my experience—all played a pivotal role in my academic and professional growth.
