About

Biography

I am currently pursuing a PhD in Economics at Colorado State University. I hold a Master's degree in Economics from Carleton University (located in Canada), with a concentration in Financial Economics. My research interests are diverse, spanning from Development Economics to Environmental Economics to heterodox fields like Gender and Queer Economics. Coming from a developing nation like Bangladesh, I feel particularly drawn to Development Economics as it provides practical tools to address pressing global challenges such as poverty and inequality. I am also interested in researching timely issues like the economic impacts of COVID-19, Artificial Intelligence (especially Large Language Models), climate change, etc.

My long-term goal is to pursue a career in research (making positive contributions to economic knowledge) or teaching (imparting that knowledge in the newer generation).

Outside of academics, I enjoy reading, photography, yoga, and taking long walks in the woods.
