Current Position: Assistant Professor, Department of Economics, University of Utah

I am very thankful for my doctoral training in CSU’s economics department. Opportunities to teach my own classes and learn about effective pedagogy helped me feel confident in my teaching— even in my first year as a professor. Faculty at CSU wove real-world research opportunities into their courses: from peer review exercises in my public economics course, to the research replication course, I became well equipped to produce research and comfortably engage in the academic community. I still receive support from my mentors at CSU and am thankful for the ways they have enriched my life. Every day I seek to emulate their leadership in my own mentoring. The academic community in the economics department is unmatched: hallway conversations and community gatherings have sprouted into lasting collaborations and friendships. I am fiercely proud to be a Ram.
