Salon duc Tape – The National Debt and Trump’s Tax Plan – October 27th
On October 27th, Steven Pressman will speak about the government debt and government budget deficits. He will then explain why debt and deficits arise and why they may or may not be bad. Finally, he will lay out the key aspects of President Trump’s recent tax reform plan and explain how they will impact both the deficit and income inequality in the US.
Pressman is a visiting professor in the Economics Department at Colorado State University with expertise in taxation, economic policy and income inequality. He is an Emeritus Professor of Economics and Finance at Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey. Pressman is a frequent contributor to newspapers and magazines, and frequently appears on radio and TV to talk about economic issues.
