*Due to the spread of COVID-19 all seminars for the Spring 2020 semester have been cancelled.*
The Department of Economics Seminar Series for the Spring 2020 term continues Friday 4/17/20 at 3:00 pm in Behavioral Sciences room 103. The seminars are free and open to everyone.
April 17th’s speaker is Professor Spencer Banzhaf from Georgia State University. Banzhaf’s research interests include Environmental Economics, History of Economic Thought, and Urban and Regional Economics. His research focuses on environmental economics and policy analysis. More narrowly, much of his work studies the interactions between local environmental amenities, local real estate markets, and the demographic composition and structure of cities. He applies these and other tools of benefit-cost analysis to the evaluation and design of environmental policy and to the creation of “green” index numbers and accounts. He also studies the history of welfare economics.
More information on his seminar coming soon!
