The Department of Economics Seminar Series for the Fall 2018 term continues on Friday, 11/9/18 at 3:00 pm in Behavioral Sciences room 103. The seminars are free and open to everyone.

November 9th’s speaker is Professor Gerald Epstein, a professor in the Department of Economics at UMass Amherst and Co-Director of the Political Economy Research Institute (PERI). Epstein earned his Ph.D. in Economics from Princeton University. His research interests are in Macroeconomic policy, central banking and international finance. Epstein’s current work focuses on developing macroeconomic policies to promote just and sustainable improvements in living standards. He is also a long-time member of the Center for Popular Economics.

The title of Epstein’s seminar is: “What Sustains the Power of Finance? The Banker’s Club.”
