The Department of Economics provides opportunities for our students to get involved with peers at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Economics Student Leadership Council (ESLC)
Economics Student Leadership Council (ESLC) is the undergraduate student voice in the department. The mission of ESLC is to provide leadership and support of engagement activities for economics majors and minors. Student members participate in the planning and implementation of ESLC programs and events with the support of a faculty advisor.
To join ESLC, we ask students to:
- Be an economics major or minor
- Commit to attending monthly meetings
- Commit to attending all major ESLC events

Undergraduate Women in Economics (UWE)
The CSU chapter of Undergraduate Women* in Economics (UWE) aims to create an environment for diversity and gender inclusion in the field of economics. Explore leadership opportunities, network with other economics majors and alumni, and receive support and camaraderie. Meeting topics include internship opportunities, tutoring, resources, and careers in economics. Together let's transform the economics discipline to be more inclusive!
*Students of all genders who are interested in gender justice in economics are encouraged to join UWE.

Assocation for Graduate Economists (AGE)
The Assocation of Graduate Economists (AGE) facilitates a democratic forum for addressing the concerns of graduate students within the department. Their vision is to promote a healthy, supportive environment conducive to addressing and furthering academic, social, and cultural interaction among graduate students and faculty.

Omicron Delta Epsilon (ODE) International Economics Honor Society
Membership in Omicron Delta Epsilon (ODE) signifies outstanding academic achievement in the field of economics and is open to both undergraduate and graduate students. To be invited to become a member of CSU’s ODE chapter, an undergraduate student must be an economics major or minor who has completed at least 12 credits of core economics theory with an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher. The requirement for graduate students is an overall GPA of 3.5.
